[CHI’19 video preview] The Mental Image Revealed by Gaze Tracking

Looking at an image and thinking about it lead to similar eye movements. We exploit this phenomenon for image retrieval. Users look at an empty screen and recall an image. During this interaction we track their natural eye movements. Our computational approach finds the best match in the database. We show that this method is feasible even in the wild.
