& design jobs this decade! Occupational Opportunities Include Graphic design
Media design Fine art The Graphic & Media Design programs integrate
the newest technologies and design thinking to create versatile professional designers.
Graduates enter the field with skills in motion graphics, typography, interactive media, and
video and audio production. Students are prepared for the new time­based and screen filled
world, as they solve real–world design problems in an authentic studio environment. Students will experience: 24­hour studio access with high end computer
labs Real­world collaborative studio environments
Cutting edge software and hardware Video and audio production
Screen­printing Large format printing
And expert faculty! Many graphic design programs were originally
developed for print based media and have adapted to meet the current needs of the industry. The Graphic & Media Design Associate of Science
and Bachelor of Science programs were both designed to address today’s media standards
and has the ability to accommodate changing trends and technologies. Graduates of the Associate’s program may enter
directly into the graphic & media design BS, interdisciplinary studies BTech, or technology
management BBA degree program at Alfred State.
