Excel Mobile Import from Image

February 26, 2020 posted by

If you have office 365 and you’ve
downloaded the mobile Excel app, here’s a great new feature to import data from an
image. Here’s what you do. On your iOS or Android device, open the Excel mobile app. Start a blank worksheet. Click on the icon in the bottom-left corner to bring
up the Excel options then select the import-from-image icon. You may be
prompted for access to your camera. Just focus on the data you want and take a
picture. The image is captured and you’re given the opportunity to zoom in on just
the data you want to import into Excel. We’ll adjust the setting and click Done.
It does take a minute to process the data. I’ll skip ahead. You can tap on any
cell to make some edits but if it looks good click the Insert and just like that
your data is imported into the Excel mobile app. What a handy tool! Hey, if you want to see more videos like this one please subscribe and if you’ve enjoyed

Cool.. have you tried it? How accurate is it? PDF to EXCEL conversions are notoriously bad. This could be a solution in certain circumstances. Will give it a whirl. Thanks for the tip! Thumbs up!!
